What Is HVAC Certification?

There are three types of HVAC certification available. Small appliances, low-pressure refrigerants and high-pressure refrigerants may be chosen depending upon the type desired by the student. Some may decide to seek universal certification. This will require passing core skills tests for each type and the certification exam.

Certification by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as well as the North American Technicians Excellence (NATE) is offered with NATE offering national certification. Additionally, there are entry-level certifications available from trade and technical schools. If a successful career in this field is desired with the ability to increase earnings, earning HVAC certification through the EPA or NATE is recommended.

NATE Certification

The NATE test includes installation technician, service technician and senior level technician tests depending on the level desired. To become certified by NATE, a core test and a specialty test – service or installation – must be passed. By passing the core test, this demonstrates general knowledge as well as construction and HVACR specific knowledge in the safety, tools, and soft skills, heat transfer and comfort and electrical aspects of the trade.

This is a required test for certification as a technician in HVAC by NATE. The test is typically 50 questions and the amount of time given to complete the exam is 1 ? hours. Approximately 50% of the questions on this exam will cover the safety, tools and soft skills, 30% is electrical and 20% is heat transfer and comfort.

To take the senior level technician exam to become certified by NATE, a person must already have two certifications by NATE in service specialties. NATE does not have a single test that will allow HVAC certification. There are a total of 21 tests. NATE testing organizations are available through the U.S. and Canada.

At some point in a Doberman’s lifetime the owner may ask the question, “How do I get my Doberman to stop biting?” Determining exactly what causes Doberman biting may be a challenging task but the sooner it is tackled and action taken, the better. A biting dog’s behavior is obnoxiously. If this bad habit is allowed to continue, it can become dangerous for people or other animals he comes into contact with.

How to Stop Doberman Biting in the Puppy Stage

The easiest way and most beneficial time to put an end to this kind of behavior is when the dog is still a puppy. Up to the age of six months, the young dog is forming his character. If he was out in the wilds fending for himself, he would be learning how to bite as a means of protection.

The dog owner may think that when Doberman biting takes place that the puppy is simply playing, but this may not the case. What may be going on here is that your puppy is starting to assert his pack position. He may be showing you that, in his opinion, he is the one in charge by using his teeth. This is the point, whilst he is still in the learning mode, where you have to show him who is boss.

There are numerous ways to stop your puppy’s biting. The majority of them relate to you mimicking the way his mother and his liter mates would treat him. Letting out a whining noise when he bites you or nipping him lightly on the back of his neck with your fingers usually does the trick.

You could also try a replacement therapy by giving him one of his toys specifically designed for chewing. He will soon discover that this is much more acceptable and a far better
